So… I love to eat. There, I’ve said it!

My age will put me in the boomer generation as the cool kids will say. My appetite for food will also label me as a foodie.

I am also a wanna-be home mixologist.

What other labels can I give myself?

Connoisseur, gourmet, pleasure-seeker, sybarite?

I am on a very strict diet, that was put on hold during the holidays. It’s extremely difficult to follow a diet when you are invited to friends and family and nothing they have for you conforms to your dietetic needs.

So I tried to be good over the holidays. I was not eating a lot and was trying to select low-carb choices from what was served on different occasions.

Was I successful?

Since I started the diet, I only gained 3-4 pounds from my all-time low.

I can work with that!

I get back on the diet and as soon as the weather permits, I will start exercising again (I hate gyms).
